introduction
teambuilding.
why teambuilding
often fails.
Team building and teamwork are vital for achieving success and maximizing erformance in various contexts. When individuals come together as a cohesive team, their diverse skills, knowledge, and perspectives can be harnessed to effectively tackle complex challenges.
Extensive research conducted by Johnson and Johnson (1995) emphasizes the importance of team building, showing that interdependent teamwork leads to higher achievement and task completion rates. In this project, which is emphasized with a research paper, I aimed to explore the significance of teamwork, examine different methods to foster a positive team morale, and develop a comprehensive framework applicable to any situation requiring strong teamwork (Fapohunda, 2013).
To begin, I conducted research on topics related to teamwork, delving into its historical aspects, and gaining a deep understanding of its relevance today. I also analyzed popular methods, particularly those used in the collaborative platform Miro, to gather insights on their implementation. Based on my findings, I decided to design a team building method
specifically tailored for Miro. This method serves as a dynamic template that promotes trust, enhances communication skills, and strengthens team bonds.
Through this research, I seek to highlight the fundamental value of teamwork by creating a comprehensive template for team building in Miro.

problem
Team building activities often fail to deliver results for several reasons. First, it's important to understand your audience and consider individual interests and personalities. Some activities may be enjoyable and fun for some employees but embarrassing or uncomfortable for others. Also, these activities do not focus on the members opinion, feelings or enables a
discussion. Tailoring the activities to the preferences of your team members is key to keeping them engaged. Furthermore, making team building feel like a chore can undermine its effectiveness. Mandatory participation can lead to disengagement and resentment. Allowing team members to participate voluntarily ensures their enthusiasm and willingness to participate. Lastly, consistency is crucial. One-off events may be enjoyable, but organizing
regular team-building activities shows that you care about your team's well-being and fosters ongoing relationships and bonds (Webber, 2023).

solution
The aim of this project is to develop a method that facilitates newly formed teams in fostering effective collaboration. This involves establishing a foundation for open communication, sharing ideas and challenges, understanding each other's preferences and work habits. The method, called the Y-Method due to its shape, comprises three steps (Levels). Through research, it became evident that three key aspects should be considered. Firstly, many agencies engage in team building without fully understanding its significance in enhancing efficiency and innovation in teamwork (Johnson, 1995). Secondly, creating an open environment for communication about expectations, work methods, and strengths is crucial for every team (Webber, 2023). This fosters the ability to address issues and find solutions early on. Lastly, the method includes a step where team members document important insights and actionable changes to implement immediately.

prototype
The final outcome is a template on the collaborative platform called Miro. It's a great place where online Meetings can fin place but also create an collaborative experience on site. The idea of this template is to dig deeper on each others work ethics and personalities by answering questions and discussing it in everyround.
